Kelheim Fibers, a German manufacturer specializing in viscose fibers, will implement a price increase for its viscose products starting from April 1, 2024. The company anticipates a growth rate of between 12% and 15% for its viscose fiber segment.
Kelheim has reported a significant surge in demand for viscose, particularly in Asia, due to the robust rebound of cotton fiber prices. The company's specialty fibers are utilized across various applications such as fashion, medical products, hygiene items, nonwovens and specialty papers.
The fibers used in this product are exclusively derived from 100% wood pulp sourced from PEFC or FSC certified origins. These fibers are fully biodegradable, offering an environmentally friendly alternative to petroleum-based materials across a wide range of end products. Furthermore, they not only maintain but also enhance the functional performance of the final product.
